Hey Chris,

Now that I definitely agree with 100%. There is a big difference in how subscriptions are treated in the North vs South. I for one have 3 SIM cards for all networks in Malawi, and I use one for data and another for voice simply because the quality of service differs across networks. I use the third SIM for a CDMA network which has even better data. It’s not uncommon for one person to have more than one SIM card in Africa, in fact it’s usually the norm. However I think (and this is purely speculation) that it’s mostly limited to the urban demographic who typically don’t make up the vast majority of the mobile population.

All the same your insights and research is very meaningful, I appreciate the time you have taken to share your thoughts here.

Also, the report is wonderful. Some harsh truths that needed to be said and I am glad you had the courage to say them. Thank you.
